First introduced to photography with a 110 film camera at the early age of 11, Edward’s passion for photography did not bloom until 1994, when he acquired a Ricoh XR-1 135 film camera. His interest and passion led to the study of black & white photography (with many lunch times spent in the darkroom), during his final 2 years in highschool.
It was not until 2001 that Edward was introduced to digital imaging using a Minolta Dimage 7i. Although it was digital, Edward felt it was not to the quality of film and it wasn’t until 2006 where he decided to switch entirely to digital with the Canon 400D and a few months later upgrading to a 40D and then a full frame Canon 5D in late 2008.
With the little spare time Edward has, he enjoys revisiting his early years of photography with his Ricoh XR-1 sporting a 50mm prime lens loaded with black & white film.
