August 9th, 2010A few weeks back I shot these for a photo comp. It had to be a German twist and include either Leica, Manfrotto or Kata.

ROFL
That’s right! We’ve decided to invade the Gold Coast on the 11 and 12th of September! You’ve been warned, get in before it’s too late!
See you soon!
Here’s the behind the scene video of the shoot with Rebecca Frith
Quickest shoot I’ve ever done!
Having worked numerous times with Bec in our Glamour workshops, I finally got around to shoot with her! Funnily enough we had not shot together outside of workshops so we set a date and Bec organised a Laundromat. We arrived at the Laundromat only to find that it was way to small. I would’ve been standing like 1m away from her! Luckily I was able to arrange to shoot at another local laundromat.
On our way to the new laundromat I came across this nice old caravan full of character so when we finished at the laundromat we doubled back and shot at the caravan as well. Here’s a few quick edits.
Video from the Setti trial shoot with Ally.
My first proper attempt at using the Mola Setti and also my first time using a beauty dish, hah! So unfortunately my feelings about the Setti is not conclusive yet but I am liking the idea of replacing softboxes outdoor with a beauty dish.
The pearlescent white paint inside the dish gives a warmer light which seems to flatter skin tones. Light spread on the 28″ Setti is quite wide with a very rapid fall off. Can’t wait to use it more and more to really get the hang of the Setti. A grid from Honey Comb Grids is probably going to be essential.
So after months of nagging Brodie about cutting the video up, it’s finally done! Once again big thanks to Jay, Karl and AJ for their help on the day. Also to Brodie for bringing me over to Perth.
Behind the scenes video… first time splashing around in Adobe Premiere.
